Climate change mitigation initiatives

CulivO2 reduces and removes greenhouse gases through the implementation of low-carbon production systems such as cocoa, cashew, palm, coffee, and avocado. This initiative contributes to the conservation of biodiversity, and carbon stored above and below ground, as well as promotes clean water management in prioritized areas.

CultivO2 supports the economic, social, and environmental well-being of producing families, through the delivery of economic benefits for the sale of carbon certificates. The initiative began in 2017, with a projection of enrolling 20,000 hectares of private properties by 2036.
