Climate change mitigation initiatives

CultivO2 reduce y elimina gases de efecto invernadero mediante la implementación de sistemas productivos bajos en carbono como el cacao, marañón, palma, café y aguacate. La iniciativa tiene el objetivo de contribuir a la conservación de la biodiversidad, del carbono almacenado sobre y debajo del suelo, así como promover la gestión de agua limpia en áreas priorizadas.

CultivO2 supports the economic, social and environmental well-being of producer families, through the delivery of economic benefits from the sale of carbon certificates. The initiative began in 2017, with a projection of linking 20,000 hectares of private land by 2036.
